into me the moment I let my guard down.
Thoughts that aren’t my own,
whisper to me of death and destruction.
The undeniable urge to act upon them;
a struggle against something I don't understand.
I'm a good man, but I want to destroy the world.
Lili is the light in the dark.
The calm in my storm.
Without her, I can't hold on.
She saved me from myself by believing in me.
Believing I'm more than the devil I harbor inside,
and trusting me not to rip her throat
and feed her to the demons.

Brushing hair from her face, he let his fingers linger on her cheek as a set of piercing white eyes locked on hers.
